The SCEPTAR series synthesized pager is a highly reliable, extremely compact receiver for tone and voice paging and channel monitoring applications. The SCEPTAR is also compatible with most tone and voice paging systems. The pager is equipped with a built-in speaker, antenna, and telescoping antenna.

The paging receiver is housed in a durable case with all operating controls conveniently mounted on the top and side of the case, except for the channel switch located in a recessed area on the bottom of the pager. This is to prevent accidental changing of the operating or priority channel.

Power for the pager is normally supplied by a single "AA" battery that fits in a separate battery compartment in the rear section of the case. The pager can also be operated by a NiCad, Ni-MH rechargeable, or a mercury if desired.
